Vegetarian Vampires – the book!

VV-FRONT-COVERMy life was very different eight years ago, long before the Big Breast Adventure. I was working 10 to 12 hour days in-house with a huge, complex and demanding client who shall remain nameless (OK, it was Qantas). My mother-in-law had just passed away very suddenly sending shock waves through the family, my daughter was progressing through those challenging pubescent high school years and my son was struggling with an as yet unidentified learning difficulty. To say life was busy and stressed would be the understatement of the millennium.

4 – The Zen of surf rips

????????????????????????????????????????As far as years go 2003 was my family’s annus horribilis.  After struggling with her health for some years, one of my best friends quite unexpectedly died in her sleep. Shortly afterward George Bush ‘shocked and awed’ the world by invading Iraq – again. A few months later my mother died after a very short bout with cancer.  Around the same time as Mum left us, the business my husband and I run went into general administration.

3 – Vegetarian vampires and what we can learn from them

imageHere’s a confession for you. I just read the The Twilight Saga Collection again for about the fifth time. I know, I know. I’m a sucker (pardon the pun) for a tale where love triumphs over seemingly insurmountable odds, with a heavy overlay of supernatural other worldliness. This time I thought I might stop at one book – Twilight – the first and in my opinion the best of the four books in the series.  But no.  Once into it I had to re-read the whole dang lot, wondering as I always do, what attracts me so much to the story of Bella Swan and Edward Cullen.
